How much smoke after chip?
Just installed my DP tuner flip chip. Took it for a run and noticed that when I get on it in the 120hp mode I see a good amount of black smoke. I will call DP on monday but was wondering if this was normal, did not smoke like that before.
Also, my SES light came on, i'm guessing this is the overboost code, hit 26.2 psi pretty easy and thats as high as it would go, felt the computer defuel.
I also hear a loud schreak sound when it shifts, seems to be coming from around the floor board, i'm guessing thats the tranny slipping, I better keep it on the 60hp mode until I get the BTS. tranny never got over 165 deg though.

The fuel asked for in the 120hp is higher and will account for the excess smoke in that program. For the SES coming on, before making any assumptions pull the codes. It sounds like it is overboost, but getting the codes will make absolutely sure.

Sounds normal, we all start pulling codes after upgrading to the chip. Just find out wich one it was (just like Diane said). Welcome to the world of one mod leads to another, watch your EGT's and start stashing $ away for more mods!
