I have put these into many header systems in the past. It for hi perf apps and will benefit any turbo motor. A vacuum pump is better but really expensive.
Jegs carries the stuff your lookin for. BTW: it van be welded anywhere in the exh sys.

Thanks Nut, There is a Rymes I have used in the next town over. I didn`t know they started on bio. Ossipee is not listed as a distribution point on the site but they will deliver anywhere huh? Have you heard any rumors of impending fuel prices dropping dramatically? I keep hearing this is bound to happen because of several factors comming together including increased Canadian production. So there, I hyjacked my own thread I hate him

I don't know about Bernoulli but, If you want to increase the amount of vacuum to extract the fumes, You should rotate the weld-in pipe so the cut surface is parallel with the exhaust pipe. Yep, the cut is 45* and the pipe must be welded at a 45* angle also.
BTW: It should protrude into the exh pipe no more than 1 inch.

I had originally used the Moroso check valve and pipe kit. Worked for a couple months then started getting leaks under the truck. Had remember reading a thread about CCV back pressure causing leaks. I removed the check valve and the leaking stopped and hasn't come back now for 3 months. It was installed correctly and the only thing I could think of was it got crud in it?? Any how just something to keep an eye on if you use a check valve. Here's how it installed now...
Hey RockyMtnRanger, that 45* pic probably also adds to the bernoulli effect.
I know that altering any emission control device is illegal for passenger cars/trucks/vans etc.
The PSD is not OBDII compliant because it is considered an overwieght/oversized vehicle. In my mind that makes it a work truck and thus exempt. Also, there are many states with no inspections.
I originally put in the check valve thinking it was a good idea, but with these diesels you absolutely can't have any back pressure from this mod (or at least very small amount). Here in Colorado we have emission inspections, but no vehicle inspections. The one and only inspection station in Colorado Springs, doesn't crawl underneath, so hopefully there won't be a problem. If they don't like it I can switch it back in about 30 minutes. The sad thing is, they have abandoned the the car/light truck emission test, but not diesels. Figures??
That is really trick. I'm not foolin with mine since it works perfectly now. Really makes a difference in how it's installed for sure. Nice setup you have there.
I'm wanting to do the CCV mod and I'm seriously thinking about using the Racor CCV4500. I understand how to do the CCV mod but am unsure of how the CCV4500 is plumbed. Once you run the CCV line into it, is there an outlet line that goes back to the CC or??? Thanks.
