I have an 84 bronco 2. i can't seem to get the alternator to charge. i have replaced the alternator, regulator, battery, and starter. i have also checked all the wires coming from the alternator and going to the battery. the truck does not have an idiot light it actually has the mechanical guage. i have tried everything i can think of does anyone have any suggestions because i am clean out.

Have you taken the battery and alternator in to a store like AZ or AAP yet to get them bench tested? Even with new you can still have a bad part.
i have taken the alternator, battery, and regulator to az, aap, and napa. all three tested fine at all three places. i have replaced all three fuseable links and even checked all the wires for brakes or bad ends. everything seems to be checking out ok.
guess what i found. i decided that since a new regulator is only 13 dollars i should go ahead and put another one on. now everything works perfect. the guys at all of these parts stores were hooking up the wrong harnesses to the regulator which made them get a false reading. when i went back to az to tell them they had sold me a bad regulator the first time they said i was crazy that they had tested it before i put it on. i asked them to come out with their little machine and check it now. of course when he checked it everything was perfect. the guy told me he was sorry for causing me such a headache. i told him everyone makes mistakes and that we both learned from the experience.
the funny thing is i did all the tests the haynes and chilton said to do. every time i did the regulator test it failed. but i kept saying to my self the regulator is new so i must be doing the test wrong. as it turns out the were not testing it correctly.
