I'm either ahead or behind the game or totally wrong....I was told a couple weeks ago that SuperChips(FLA) has acquired Edge? I know SuperChips is owned by the same company that owns MSD and a couple other companies. Just looking for some validation....
Maybe that explains the response I have received from their customer service link on the Edge page. I've emailed Edge 3 times through that link and do not get any response. Very easy questions also, it would take them maybe 2 minutes to answer. Hope they still provide support.
MSD owns Superchips and Edge if I understand it correctly. Don't take that as gospel, but in a conversation I was in a couple months back, I walked away understanding it as that way......but I have been wrong before.
It made sense really. Superchips for programmers and Edge for modules and monitors. MSD should take these guys to the next level, the 1704 issue has really created dealer problems. I have had to take several back. The new Ford IDS program shows "Invalid VIN" even if the 1704 is downloaded back to stock. I have quit selling Superchips totally.

This is not what we see here, that is the first claim I have ever heard (invaild Vin).... I have been here since the tuner was first intradused and this has never been the case.

I have a guy that came to she shop just the other day with a Bullydog doing the same thing....the guy can not get back to stock. Crap happens once in a blue moon, and if you make and sale enough product, you will run into a situation now and again that is off the charts. I had a customer buy an Edge from me that blew out the PCM, it was a one in a million thing, and Edge was 110% behind the customer and willing to cover any costs involved in case the dealership would not cover it. Remember, its not whether or not you get knocked down (cause once in a while we all get knocked down).....its how you pick yourself back up and recover. Any reputable company that cares a squat about customer service, customer loyalty, and public reputation is going to do everything they can to fix a problem, even if it is a one in a million fluke that comes up and costs them an arm and leg to get taken care of. If I work on your truck and I do something wrong, I am going to try my hardest to make it as painless as I can, and to let you know I am sorry for the issue in the first place. Nothing is failure proof 100%.....well....death is I guess. I 100% know we will all die, and not come back to walk again among the living. There is a guarantee for ya!
To be specific and accurate the investment firm that owns MSD and last year purchased Superchips did also purchase Edge early this year. MSD, Edge, Superchips are all owned by an investment corporation not by MSD etc.
