06 PSD Starting Question
I just got a 06 PSD automatic last week. Anyway i turn the key and wait for the glow plug light to go away then try to start it. Is it normal for it to turn over 3-4 times before starting? I'm used to my subaru or my old v10 that started instantly.. Just wondering if its normal for the diesel to take longer to start.

Yes, the diesel takes slightly longer to start. Remember, your gassers were turning 8-10:1 compression... the PSD runs 18:1. That's a lot of compression to crank against. Generally, 1-2 seconds is what is takes if the engine is cold (reasonable ambient temperature, say >50F). If it's colder out, it'll take longer.

Congradulations on your new truck! Ijust got mine acouple of weeks ago. Mine only takes about two sec. to start after sitting all night. I'd say your in good shape.
