Hi, my name is Joe. Just bought my first ford(ever). Its an 06 F250 FX4 with the powerstroke. I like the truck alot. Runs great and a joy to drive. The only problem it has is it doesn't want to start up on the first turn of the key. I normally have to turn the key at least two or three times before it will start. And I am talking about letting the motor turn over about 10 times per turn of the key. Once its warmed up it starts no problem for the rest of the day. Other than that I couldn't be happier. Any way just wanted to say hi, and get a feel for the forum. Have a good day all.

Joe, from all the gang here welcome to FTE, and congrats on your new purchas. Please take some time and go thou the stickies at the top of the forum, trust me it will be to your best inerest of knowledge of this vehicle. As a GM guy this truck is like no other animal you have ever worked on or delt with. It is a great truck but has some issues that if not addressed properly can lead to costing you some big bucks. First off you need to get some kind of monitor to read the vitals of this engine as it is very important in reading the values of the fuctions of sensors to help us help you. There are many, Scan gauge , dash boss, Edge and SCT just to name a few and they all have different pices so before you run out take the time to decide before you have to buy one in desperation. Look thur the theads and see what some guys have and it helps a bunch or just ask for a opinion someone here will chime in. On that note these are a great bunch of guys and there is a boat load of knowledge and there always someone here to help........Bill
