blinking headlights

blinking headlights

Please help I have a 64 F250 4x4 that after the headlight or an for about 15 min. or so the start blinking like turn signals. It does not make a diference if in high or low beam, I reblaced the dimer switch and that didnt work. Any suggestions at all would help thanks guys....

There is a circuit breaker in the headlamp switch. One-either it's working correctly, and you have a bare wire shorting to ground, you've added fog lamps or something to make it trip, or two-it's getting weak and you need a new headlamp switch.

Sounds like you have a liitle corrosion in the connection under the dash. Or you could have a wire crossed with the turn signals. Does it happen as you are driving down the road or just when it standing still? Look at the head light switch from under the dash. You will see a white wire with a red strip that should be your head light wire. Chances are is that i\the wire has become corroded under the insulation and connector.
