Any indications what the rebates will be on 2007 SD 6.0's will be next month. I just negoitated a $600 under invoice deal with a local dealer, but I'm not sure when to pull the trigger.
Ford has finally bit the bullet and cut SD production 20%. With less metal to move, there is less pressure to pile on big rebates.
Increased rebates on 07s will wait until the supply of 06s has run out some more. That probably won't happen for a month or two.
Traditionally, the best deals on current models are obtained in December at the end of year sales. While the best deals overall are obtained in August and September on leftover models.
OK. Those are the facts according to my crystal ball.
I just recieved a private offer in the mail from Ford in the mail.

+ $1000 Ford credit cash
+ $1000 New England Super Duty owner loyalty
As much as I love my 2003 this could get me to buy due to the scary 2008 spy shots. These things are So much money these day. It is hard to justify getting rid of a truck with 70K miles and 14 months left to pay.
I think I saw somewhere that the rebates will be virtually nil except for those cited above on loyalty and financing through Ford, but the good news was (not substantiated-need help) the MSRP will be lower than '06's. Therefore maybe the '07 MSRP will be $3-4K lower and then $0 rebate can go away. Thus a wash! Boy do I need one after today's actions.
Maybe I was wrong. I found this statement from an auto analyst.
Sales for Ford and Dodge trucks were not as strong as the companies would have liked, said Paul Taylor, chief economist for the National Automobile Dealers Association, based in McLean, Va.
"That sets the stage for a strong incentive-driven September and October sales period," he said.
