Only low end companies over rate their products. Jensen, Sony, Pyle, Pyramid, Boss, Audiobahn, low end Pioneer, Legacy, Profile, etc...
Maxxsonics lower end amps are slightly over rated.
Alpine, Higher end Pioneer, JL, USamps, Zapco, Arc, Icriminator, Massive, Cadence, Mark Antony, Kicker, Higher end MTX, Higher end RF, Pheonix Gold (before and after buy out), RE, Sundownz...
That is just to name a few that will produce rated or greater into REACTIVE loads, not just 1ohm stable @ 14.4v.
trust me, your not informing me of anything new. The Clarion I have is a good amp, rated for 1000 watts, and I dont think that that particular brand is over rated, it outdoes most "1800" watt other brand amps.
hey guys for the satelite radio antenna any suggestions how to run it inside the cab? the truck doesnt have a back sliding window or a sunroof. Been thinking how to get it in there.
Behind the seat on the floor there are some rubber grommets filling some very large wholes (or should be says my memory) run it through there. It's double walled there, and it would have to run down, then over but the hole are big enough to fish it through.
what cab style is your truck? If it's reg or extended, the 6x9's are overkill.
If you insist on having the 6x9's then I'd go for the 12" sub because two sets of infinity's will probably overpower the 10", depends on how much bass you like.
One other thing, 3-way's are overrated, I'd get the 62.7i's then the 10" sub will be a good match to one set of those. It won't be earth shattering loud but it will sound good. Then again I don't know the specs of that sub or amp but one 300 - 400 W sub pounds plenty.
The 10" is going to give you a nice, tight, and clean sound. The 12" will too but not so much on the tight side, because of the air usage. You could even keep the stock rear speakers since you won't be hearing them very much. I do have to say that I wouldn't get 3-way speakers either, it gives a really raspy high sound that hurts like hell when it hits your ears (esp when amped).
As far as the amp the specs are
» 6-channel amplifier
» 56 watts RMS x 4 + 107 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (80 watts RMS x 4 + 148 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms)
» 56 watts RMS x 4 + 287 watts RMS x 1 in 5-channel mode
» 148 watts RMS x 2 + 287 watts RMS x 1 in bridged mode
