hey i was thinking about getting these infinity kappa 572.5 cf 5x7 speakers put in my single cab f150. i found them at sounddomain.com for $109. the rms is 100 watts and peak is 300 watts. i have the kenwood head unit that comes in the STX truck it is 47x4. I was wanting to know if i needed to add an amp and what size amp. Or if i could put the speakers in now and wait a month or 2 then get an amp. basically i was just wanting to know if these would be some good speakers. I am pretty ignorant when it comes to car audio so i was just seeing what u guys thought.
an amp is highly recomended with Kappas
you could wait on the amp, but they'll be pretty quiet till you get one
your 47W x 4 is MAX watts
prolly anything from 40W-100W RMS should be good
a separate amp will play much cleaner than the one in your head too
some people like the Kappas, some think they sound too sterile unless you also have a sub
