spider gears
1995 f-150...5.8 lt. with a tow package 2 wheel drive Axle code is H9 . Rear end noise last few weeks....very lould yesturday towing the quad trailer. Tonight decided to check out the sound.. pulled the cover off the rear diff. Witch I think is a limited slip 8.8 inch with Traction-loc. It has the disk in it. Anyways the spider gears are wore out. Question is how hard is it to just change the sipder gears and those 2 axle gears? And are the expnsive? I think I caught it early enough. No metal in the oil. Ring and pin. look perfect
