PMR failures???
I am the new owner of a 2001 F-350 and have heard about the PMR (Powdered Metal Rods)after I bought it and was wondering about the failure rate and what the truck was doing when it happened ie. rode hard, highly modified, wot, heavy towing, etc...
Has anyone had the unfortunate experience and what were the miles on the vehicle?

This is the most recent one I can remember, and everything worked out for him eventually. This truck wasn't modded enough to push the envelope of max HP that I could tell...

Thanks! that is a lot of info and it looks like it all worked out in the end. Mine is out of warranty now so it would be an adventure I imagine if I had a similar failure. Probably go with a hot rod motor if it did go south.
