Sounds good to me. Glad someone is thinking about a KC area meet. Our "FTE Missouri chapter west's social director and events coordinator" ought to weigh in shortly....

I don't know if I could make it, but I'm sure some of the Missouri guys from that side of the state would make it. Let us know when you figure out a date.

For the folks that are thinking about making the South GTG:

I'll go ahead and post my idea of what I'd like this to be. A GTG somewhere not too far from where folks live. If we get folks from Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas then maybe Joplin, MO or something in that 4 corner area. It can be just a meet at a restaurant or we could see about a park or lake for a cook out.

If we don't get folks from all these states then we can move it so it is closer to the folks that can make it.

I'm going to try to contact some companies for some prizes to give away.

I didn't put a close date on this poll but I'll end it when the KC poll ends in 10 days. Then we can start working on a place.

Now these are just my ideas and they are not rules or written in stone. They are just ideas and your ideas are just as important.

For the folks thinking about making the KC GTG:

I'll go ahead and put some of my ideas for this out there. To me KC has always been known for it's BBQ. So I'd like to see some world famous KC BBQ in the plans somewhere. We can meet at a restaurant or do our own at a lake or park somewhere.

I'm going to contact some companies for some prizes to give away.

Now this is just my idea and is not a rule or written in stone. Your ideas are just as important and please post if you have some.

This poll ends on the 25th and then we can start work on a place for the GTG.

Some more ideas I'd like to kick around. I will have some dash plaques made for this and will have packets for all who attend. Trying to get packet items now and I'd also like to have some prizes to give away at a drawing.

If any of the other CL's or members would like add to this please do. We could even have a design contest for a logo for this event.

I think it's a great idea. I would definitely be interested in being there but I have a few Saturdays coming up I have to work and at night so the whole week-end is ruined. I would still try but can't promise. BBQ is good for me.

I believe the Explorer is built in K.C. also. St. Louis used to build some of them but we are now going to be........an empty building!
