This is the third time!!

Our VCR gave up the ghost a few months ago, so the mother-inlaw gave us hers, which is brand new but she never uses it. Anyway had the vcr programed to tape the truck race last night. I get home from the farm and it had not taped the race again, only seems to work every other time. I sit down to watch the race this morning and during the prerace they are showing highlights of the truck race from last night and my guy, Johnny Benson wins the race, his thrid this year. I have missed all 3 wins because of that darn VCR. Needless to say I see a new VCR in our future. Then on the other hand if I start watching more races he might not win again.

Maybe time to get a DVD Recorder?

Three strikes and time for a new VCR. A DVD may take more messing around to record with than a VCR, on the other hand VCR`s are done.

Dvd recorders are actually fairly easy to use. I like the whole tv recording from the pc though

I was tempted to revive my old beta, it is still in the basement and still going strong. However, the wife has other ideas and is now talking about a new tv and dvd/vcr combo, sround sound and some other stuff. Seems now she doesn't like the fact she has to get up to turn up the volume on the tv. go figure
