Usually, stop-leaks only prolong the inevitable. You end up having to do a repair or replace something to make it permanent. As for removing the fan clutch, I learned a little trick to loosen it. I have a 1-7/8" wrench that I put on the nut of the fan clutch and strike the box end with a hammer, while holding the wrench at a slight angle to straight down. This jars the nut and turns it at the same time. Had to do a couple of times to get the angle right, but worked great.

You can get a refurbish from napa for $110. I did mine, but took me 5 hours.....half the time was getting the clutch off...rent the tools from the auto store! Other than that...really easy.
