Have any of you had any problems with water leaking in around the right rear of the van from the top? Water is coming in along the side window and dripping down. The carpet gets wet as well as the jack well. I have the luggage rack on top. What is your experience with this?
Mine is doing the same...went through the car wash today and had a flood back there...looks like it is coming in from under the headliner trim...I am going to remove the trim to see if I can find the leak.
I have a '96, and it always leaked big time in the rear, and I couldn't find the source. After shelling out $50+ for a new tailgate gasket, I found that that the original was fine...just installed backwards. Worth a check.
Haven't had a problem with the back of my '93; my problem is in the front under the headliner. I have had the windshield replaced three times, the last time at a dealer and I caulked around the windshield, but it still leaks at the top right and left corners. Any body else with this experience?

Hi Jeff,
My 92 XLF (top rack) started slowly leaking, gradually
getting worse, behind the drivers seat. I tried a bunch
of stuff thinking it was the rack, resealing each screw.
Finally it got so bad I pulled the drivers side panel
loose, behind the driver's seat. Ended up being a bad
seal (its a goo stuff, not rtv), around a stud in the
window surround. After taking the surround off (leaving
the window in) and filling it up with a bunch of RTV
I haven't had a leak since.
I posted about this a year or so ago too. I never found the cause of the leak either. Just keep a towel on top of the jack stowage compartment to catch the drips from above. The water seems to come from behind the mouldings bottom side, and drips from there. It never soaks into the headliner or anything, which gave me the impression its not from the luggage rack above, since I'd imagine there would be water comimg through the headliner from above. So I suspected the window leaking too, similar to what others thought.
