Good pitures monsterbaby, basically means to remove any access metal that will impeed airflow. In a tb. you debri it, remove lips or any access metal, This will improve airflow, and will inlarge the diameter of the barrel making it alittle bigger tb. It's done with grinding wheels and other tools of the trade.
Sorry, it's been a while, good things(or regretable desicions, lol) have been going on for me. First off, i have the truck in a sho getting a new drive system put on, giong to an 8.8 in the rear, and 7.5 in the front. totally custom job, and will be in there for the rest of the month for that and it's new paint job, amd the rhino lining of the frame.
The new Engine mod really rocks, i'm sure with both it and just a computer, you would have enough power for a real fun truck. also i had to re0reconfigure the computer on sunday. It has enough power to break the tire loose(2wd mode) in 4th gear.
finally the final thing that happened to me this week, or should i say that i did, i closed the knot with my girlfriend. So, in 2 months i'm going on "vacation".
also just wondering when some numbers of the stroker motor will be posted. i myself am working a ranger 4x4 but for street/mud applications. i already plan to dump the 2.9 for a 4.0 and the mit. 5 speed for a m50d R1. and if the stroker motor is worth the 2.5k it will be an added bonus heh..
on a side note. is it still possible to find a sc for the 4.0 ohv? and though it wont be the same as a turbo. but going in the mud the sc would fair better. to have a sc with the 4.5 stroker should put out some nice numbers as well.
I'll Put pics up when i get the truck back. I just got verizon DSL i can put before and after pics up. Except for the fact that vin # matchs, it's a completely different truck. I think you all will like the up-grades, even bob will have to admit for a ranger, it's got some pretty snazy mods.
Since this thread had gone off topic, and onto stuff that although important isn't really doing Alan's build justice I decided to split off the axle discussion into it's own thread so that maybe others will see it and join in with more discussion and we can leave this one for info about Alan's motor buildup which is it's main purpose.
the new thread can be found here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...ml#post3932573
Thanks rob, but i though it was an interesting dicusion on possible axels. just so yall know yall have the guyz at the shop pissed(at me and yall) off because i haulted the ordered parts for the new axle. wanting to look at the better options.

Alan I understand, but since this thread was about your engine, I thought maybe it should stay on that topic (it's sounding really interesting, and I hope to hear more and maybe you can get a video of it at the track when done) But the axle section contains some info that some people that might not see this thread as something interesting might find the axle tech good reading or might have some further input that might help you with your decision and might teach everyone else some more including me. heck if I ain't learning all the time then whats life for right?
Gas tank... The acursed gastank is in the way of my plans. does anyone know of a gastakn that will go across the bed, evenly keeping the whieght on both driver side, and passenger side. i'm looking for something thats like 20 gallons or so. i am willing to throw it up into the bed if need be.
