96 windstar wiring help

96 windstar wiring help
well, here is the story. this is kinda long.
i went on cruise and my wife had a 96 windstar. it was originally manufactured in canada.while i was on cruise the base sticker expired, and they require a smog test, even on out of state vehicles, before they will give you new decals. (this is a california thing, not a navy thing).
she takes the van in to get smogged and they wont do it since it is a "grey" market vehicle from canada and she has to spend some high amount at a state referee to get what amounts to an exemption on the van. this van, although mostly trouble free, had 145000 miles on it and was getting kinda tired, so instead of messing with it, my wife got a new 2006 focus and we gave the van to my sister in law.
well, while the van is there, somebody broke into it and stole the stereo. they cut the power plug out of the van, but disconnected the speaker plug (why i dont know).
anyway, long and short of it is i need to know what color wires are for what (hot, switched hot, ground) for a 96 windstar with premium sound.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
