Fluids

I will be changing my tranny (6-speed) and diff fluids this weekend. Can you recommend fluid types and wights for both the tranny and diffs?
Also, can you refresh my memory on the quantities I will need?

I would go with 75W-140 in both differentials, full synthetic.
Here's a guy who sells some awesome products. I use his syn
oil in my differentials. LINK

Use Synthetic ATF in the Trans and Transfer Case. Transmission takes a little under 6 quarts and the transfer takes 2 or 3.

ok, one more question, I know that there are certain synthetics that folks have been warned against for the auto's. Does this apply to the 6-spd and transfer case as well?

I've used both Red Line and Mobil 1 and haven't been able to tell the difference between the two. They both work great. There is no problem with one or the other like in the auto's.

Just make sure when you pull the plug on the transfer case you have the catch pan ready to catch it coming out sideways... It comes out in a hurry through that large hole.
