As ZX250 said, we will bypass the Dodge comment and try to get you some help. Thinking about this logically, it was running before wash and water and is not running now, therefore, it is an electrical problem (brilliant I know), the fuse box or PCM is still my guess! Just like when I used to mud bog and get my distributor wet, a little water in the wrong place can cause havoc! (even on a Dodge!!!!!) Maybe even just "drying out" for a couple hours wil do it.
Take off the large electrical connector on the firewall drivers side,`I think it has 3 10mm hex heads. Spray both male and female sides with contact cleaner. It is the plug that is closer to the turbo than the computer connector is. Sounds like water may be in there to me. It also may dry itself out all by itself. I am not going to ignore the Dodge remark....cuz there is no such thing as a perfectly good Dodge.
So after all that it turns out the PO hacked into a wiring harness to install something and just twisted the wires back together. By me messing around they pulled apart. Permanently fixed now...............
I appreciate all the quick responses from you guys. Great forum, I'm glad I found it. Is nice to have all this knowledge to fall back on when something goes wrong
or when you want to ugrade and modify. I knew nothing about diesels a couple of weeks ago. Now I feel like I know some stuff about my truck. Looking forward to learning a bunch more!!

Your welcome and this is a great place to learn about your truck. Also welcome to the board, hang around and get your wallet ready 'cause it could get expensive. You have said the magic words

I ain't over it yet!! You not only knew nothing about diesels, if you thought there was any such thing as a perfectly good Dodge you knew very little about trucks either.
Hey, I liked my Dodge but I got tired of driving it from gas station to gas station and then to another gas station! 12mpg at best is a good reason to get rid of it.
I've had two 10 gallon runs on the new(used) PSD and I'm getting 19+ mpg mixed driving and some towing of a 4k lb camper so I'm very happy with that.
This truck is huge (crew cab) but it doesn't feel big driving it. I like this thing so much it just became my daily driver.
I'll be pulling my trailer with my off road only Jeep Comanche on it this weekend. About 6k lbs. I can't wait to see how that does.
My son bought an 03 PSD a while back is and is very happy with the towing performance over his old Dodge pulling his trailer and Jeep YJ. He's the one that convinced me to go Ford..............

Easy Mark, there was a time not to long ago I knew nothing about diesels,(still don't know much) and I once thought Chevys were the only truck made. I still think the Chevy I had were good trucks and did what I ask of them. I, like mscott2154 have seen the light. I have FTE and its members to thank for what I do know about my Ford truck.Heck, I can remember a certian member here that thought the 6637 was the uglist thing around and then a couple days later came by my house and we put one on his truck just because the members here suggested it would help. While over here, he heard my 4" strait piped exhaust and wasn't long, put one on his truck. We are all here to learn, so lets overlook former shortcomings and welcome mscott2154 to the boards. Now thats just my .02, well maybe .04 worth.
