I have a 2004 Ford F-150 xlt and I had a bright idea to clean my dirty and greasy engine. So I went and got a can of degreaser. Sprayed it on let it soak and then hosed it down. (While the engine was running so it wouldn't stall) then it was dry about 10 mins later and then went to move it and stalled and wouldn't start. So today I took out all the ignition coils and dried them all and blew out the plug sockets, I also unplugged just about every connector that could have gotten wet. it started once at a very rough idle and I can't rev it at all. Threw bunch of codes about the throttle body and forced idle, any help would be very appreciated!
P0121, p0221,p2101,p2104,p2106,p02110,p2135 are the mess of codes I get. And now it will start but terrible ruff idle and and very high rev off the start. I'm thinking I fried the throttle body and sensors in there?
You could have fried the throttle body but you could try resetting the computer by disconnecting BOTH battery cables and tying them together for a few minutes. This will reset the computers memory. Also make sure the throttle body is clean.
