Raptor transmissions

I'm looking at a 1996 F350 dually that has a Raptor transmission in it that apparently was installed in Feb of this year. That sucker shifts so hard it feels like something is going to break! Anybody know if this is normal or know anything about these tranmissions. I've never heard of them but that don't mean nothin'...

never heard of em. trannies shouldn't shift that hard

I would keep looking. That truck was probably owned by a throttle happy kid who wanted slamming gears.

Yeah, I think I'll just stick with my ole reliable 95. She aint as purdy as the 96 but I still love her...
