I have a 1972 f-100 2wd with drum braeks, and a 1973 f-100 2wd with disc brakes. Ihave been waiting to put disc brakes on the 72 modle. My 73 modle needs to go to the scrap yard. I had just replaced the spindles, roters, calaber, and brakepads. My question is, will the brakes, spindles, roters, and calaber from the 73 modle fit on the 72 modle, and how much is involved or how much of the front end do i need to change out?
Think you for your responce.
I closed your second duplicate thread, because it only takes one. I suggest that you read the FAQ Thread at the top of this forum. Jared has done a great job, with the articles there, and your question is covered.
There's a lot of great info here if you use the search, plus the FAQ thread up at the top of the forum.
If the kingpins in the 73 are good, then you can swap the whole I-beam over, along with the brake line mounts on the frame, and the proportioning valve. The other option is to knock the kingpins out of the 72 and 73, and put the 73 spindles on the 72's I-beams, but then you need new kingpins.
