I had an old computer case laying around that I was willing to modify. I put together the old 1.5ghz (overclocked to 2.0ghz) Pentium 4 to do the job (768mb of ram, DVD Rom...). I figure it'll be a good DVD Player/ Jukebox for the dorm room. The TV will be the monitor.
Anyway, I did a little weblog of my step by step process. Let me know what you guys think.
Not bad lookin....'tho Im not much of a camo-color person myself.. But it different. Im sure you could sell the idea to the Army/Airforce guys stationed over here, And the local custom computer shop-vendor.

thanks for the compliments. I wasn't sure what to think about it. I know it's unique and no one will have one. I want to clear coat it though. Do they make a flat sheen clear coat out of a spray can? I guess I can look at work today. I really like the flat look. It's cool for me to see a computer that doesn't look like a spaceship launching.
Looks good
but
Old P4? throw away?
Mines a P3
You'd be surprised what people will just toss away. The Pentium 4 I found was in a dumpster. It had a bad hard drive, and that's it. The case was awful, so I just tossed it. I beefed up the ram, and BAM! New media center computer. I was using a P3 800mhz up till about christmastime last year. It'll do the job if you're not into gaming or heavy multimedia. They're great for MS Office and internet surfing.
