240 Electronic Ignition

I have a 65' F100 with a 240I6. I would like to upgrade the ignition system from points to electronic. Has anyone changed to electronic ignition using late 70's or early 80's parts? If so, what is involved in the change over. Thank you.

No, but I'm guessing a 300 distributor should fit. If a 300 distrib can be stuffed into a 223 (by changing the gear and the shaft), maybe it'll drop straight into a 240.

Using Rockauto.com as a crossreference, comparing parts between '65 240 and 300 and an '87 300, the cam and oil pump are the same for all 3. And the distrib. is the same for 240 and 300 (1965). So, you should just need the distributor and the ignition box (maybe use an MSD).
