a couple exaust questions

My current set up is first cat intact and second hollow. Then there is a short piece of 2 1/4, a 2 1/4 y then 2 2 1/4 pipes run over the axle and out under the bumper. I am comptemplating some changes. If the cats were to go missing what would be the optimal size y pipe and connecting pipe to connect to my existing y pipe and duals? i was figure maybe 2.5, but 2.25 might work too?? And then i was wondering about the 02 sensor. Does it need some back pressure to work right? or does it matter?? I am thinking about straight pipe or a glass pack muffler. I am looking for louder, and better flow. I feel the cat is holding the motor back some and might just change that, but unsure of how i want to do it.. So any other ideas on how to do it? any input of pipe size, or the o2 questions??

later!! chris

Yes, you need your oxy sensor.

You can buy high flow cats.

If you loose the cats, a single 2.5 exhaust with any free flowing muffler will work fine.

And no on the backpressure. The idea that backpressure is needed is nonsense.
