'72 4x4 bed
Has anyone seen or know if a '72 f100 4x4 came with a stepside bed? I have seen many 4x2's with the stepside but not a 4x4. I have had trouble finding a short bed untill recently when I found a stepside but I am concerned with the originality - I would like to keep only items that came as factory options on my truck. Thanks!

I've seen 67-72 stepside 4wds before, don't know for sure what year the truck was, they look the same on the freeway in a blizzard. Wasn't 4 wheel drive just another option for your truck? How can one know that the 4wd and stepside were never ordered together? If you think it looks good go ahead and put it on there. Post some pictures when you have it all done. DF

You are the second person who has told me that they have seen the stepside on a 4X4. I think that is good enough for me. I think I will go ask the man what he wants for the bed ( probably between 200.00 and 400.00- it looks to be in really good condition.) Anyway if I get it and decide that it is not what I really want, it should be relatively easy to sell because of its good condition. Thanks for your responce.
