I suggest emailing Ivan or Pro directly. They are very nice and extremely helpful/knowledgeable when it comes to lifting these trucks. They make all types of unique lifts that are above all safe. Doubt there are many here with more experience. watch out toes!

You'll want a cross over steering set up(Ivan and I think some other people have some details in one of his gallery's). They recomend a adjustable drag link, and say don't use a drop pitman arm.

What size and kind of tires are you going to run?
A D60 swap up front might be somthing to start looking for in the junkyards.
You'll need to lengthen driveshafts and put around 5.13 gears depending on size tire.(both of which I'm sure you know).

IMO, as long as it's a highboy, you can modify your tcase mounts and lower it a tad to keep your ujoint angles in sync. this will probably require a little rear tilt from your tranny too. Custom rearched springs made longer, with the spring hangers spaced out further apart can alleviate some stiffness with such a severe arch. Lots of work at the 12" lift heights. Superlift made a big lift kit for these years ago, but probably quit making them.

Just to say havi, it sounds like he already made about 6" of lift by flipping and dropping the shackles alone. So he'd only need a 4" lift(which is the highest I know of for a highboy). Or custom 6-8" springs, which would have more of a bannana arch, which like you said will cause a stiff ride, and it won't flex much.

Take into account all the other little details as well as the lift or you'll wind up with a tall truck that just sits in the driveway (like I'm one to talk ). If the truck hasn't been converted to a power steering box (as opposed to the hydro steering) you'll want to do this and it wouldn't hurt to add hydro assist to it also. Crossover steering will be needed. Depending on tire size you'll probably want a new front axle as MBBFord stated and regearing is a must. Keep in mind you'll need extended brake lines, longer shocks and longer drivelines. Be sure you don't screw up your caster angle when building the lift for the front of the truck or it will be dangerous on the road. You will probably need to shim the rear axle to get the pinion angle right so as to avoid u-joint problems.

My combination uses 6" Superduty lift springs in the front and 4" springs in the back. The rest is built with a combination of drop hangers and extended shackles for a total of about 18" now.

thanks guys...as i stated i DO have 6 inches of lift right now..and as yall know my draglink is almost but a lil far away from 45 degrees....not good....tell me about crossover steering....how does it work? what do i do to make crossover steering...im used to jeeps where there are a million different arms and bars....pointless and over engineered...and then i got have this ford and there is only one arm...i like that there is only one bar.. i guess i have to get rid of it.....oh and i do know that a divorced transfer case is wonderful going great distances with lifts....because you can always drop the t case along with the axles.....alright thanks alot....
