For looks, you cannot beat the stock bench seat. However, if you're looking for a little more comfort, I'm sure someone else can recommend a good power/heated/leather seat out of a newer vehicle.

Just like B/B said, fits like it was made for our trucks and much more comfortable than original seat. It is what I put in my 53. Joe

Hey Moris
I got a 54 M100 with a 302, C4, stock rearend. Volare front end and rear lowered via reversed eye springs and relocating spring mounts. Body is almost done and ready to paint and put together. All steel body but still need a good drivers fender.

Kool, another Canadian! Sounds like a nice truck. I need a better front left fender, mine has a little bit of rust but very repairable.

If you want a good bench seat find your self a Custom Cab seat it is real comfortable and when you sit in it you will know the difference!

Excellent adaptation of an Original Bench Seat, don't know about that front tuck on the front edge of the seat though, interesting.

Colonel,

I'm 5'11 with long legs. I found two ways to make a seat comfortable. Lift it up or do something to get your legs up. The roll was my solution. Last summer I travelled 510 miles one way to visit a truck buddy in it and believe you me your legs get tired. With the EFI and gearing I have I can go about 360 miles on a tank. It works

I understand what you are stating, though you are just only 2" taller than I & I am able to see where that role would be helpfull for you.
I travelled & still do, some rather long distances on a regular basis, between Fathers '60 F-100 while growing up & my '58 M-100 these days, averages are about 250mls a day.
I've my seat shoved all the way to the rear stops in order to be comfortable as possible, but once I get the Custom Cab Bench Seat re-upolstering done, it'll be bleedin' excellently comfortable, as it adds an extra 5" of seat foam to sit upon.

I used seats from a Jaguar XJ from 2002.
Jag. was 3 months old and crashed, interior was ok.
Talking about comfort...........
Everything is electrical, it's got even presets for driver....

I'm very happy with it....
