Navigator 2nd Row seats

I'm purchasing a 2000 navigator that has some problems with the second row seats. It has the bucket seats with the console. I was wondering if those can be replaced with the bench seat with no modificatins. And are the seat belts attached to the seat frame? I feel that the bench seat would have more functionality for me than the buckets, especially since when you fold down the buckets the console is in the way and you should seat 3 comfortably in the bench seat. I am open to your opinions.

Thanks Wojo

I will measure my bench seat this afternoon for you. I would think that the bench should use the same mounting though but who knows, I've seen dumber design ideas (like COP's)

Navigator 2nd Row Seats

Thanks Bnovak, I just think that console in the second row seat is a waste of space. I'm sure its convenient but a vehicle this size should seat at least 7.

2000 Navigator 2nd Row Seats

I'm Moving this back to the top......will the 2nd row bench seat be a direct replacement for the buckets with the console.

I just measured the bench seat brackets and got ~27" center to center width wise. This is on a 1998 model though. It was 12.75" front to back measured flat, but there is about a 3.5" rise for the back bracket.

hope this helps.
