i dont see 351 pistons but if i put the 400 crank in my motor and get those flat top pistons i believe it will wake it up a little
do i need to get rods to?
It depends how you set the crank gear. You need an aftermarket double roller chain set. In these set you get a crank gear you can set to a different timing than the original 4 degrees retard. If you set it to 0 it will awake your engine.
Maybe someone else can tell you more about timing.
can you all tell me what kind of piston and rod combos can be used and still keep it in the 351 cid range. you know different rods from different motors that can be used with different pistons
this is an experimental motor for me to play with i just want to see what kind of power i can get and still keep the stock crank. i have ordered new clevite bearings (main and rod) new roller timing chain set from summit,crane cams (.484/.510)270'/280' from jegs,ihave an edelbrock performer intake and 650 carb from edelbrock,once i get the bottom end together i am going to start looking for heads i have two sets of 2v open chambers and two 2v intakes i think im going to sell along with other parts to try and get some aussie heads. $$$$$$$$ any suggestions on what else?
