I bought some Badger pistons for mine, that I had a machine shop install. I ordered .030 over pistons from Tim Meyer and he told me that this was the last set of .030 overs that he had, and they had to be shipped from Carolina. I ordered them, and when they came in I took them to the machine shop and they mic'd in at .037, so I had to re-bore my block to .040 over.
I think they are going to work out fine and I am glad I bought them, but make sure on the size before you bore the block. I am just glad I didn't order .040 overs and get 0.30 overs.
Don't worry, I think everything worked out fine. It was confusing because these were stamped ".030" on top of the pistons, but they mic'd to .037, so I have to have the block re-bored to .040 over. No big deal, really.
But I have had several people, when the motor was being built, act very surprised that I was able to get a set of these. I gave 2-3 people your number and told them to contact you about ordering some. Apparently, cast flattop pistons for these motors are rare around here...
