I have searched many posts on the LLS and have yet to find this problem. Periodocally, for the last few weeks my compressor has been acting funny. Sometimes when it is running it will start running rough like it is giving up. Immediatly after it runs like this it starts banging every few seconds and letting air out. It turns into a struggle for the compressor to run smoothly enough to compensate for the air it is loosing. This has been happening every few times I drive the truck. Yesterday while driving it started banging the air out but the compressor didn't come back on and the check susp. light did come on. I stopped at work to deal with a few things before taking it to the shop and it lost air(banging) for at least another half hour. When I did get in it to take it to the shop, however, it was sitting right, the light was off, and the compressor didn't come on the entire way. My mechanic can't seem to diagnose the problem so I was hoping someone here could.
The mechanic checked all the wiring and it seems fine. There are no codes showing a bad relay and it is not acting up while in the garage(big surprise). I am going to have to pick the truck up and wait for this problem to show up again and possibly get worse so that I can take it in again. If anyone has any more advice I would much rather give my mechanic something to look for.
