I'm not sure about the Expedition, but it hasn't affected any cars I have done. It should actually cool better without the residual heat coming into the ductwork is my guess.
If you are asking because your heater core is leaking, why don't you just try it and see, you can't hurt much, but if you have a 99 like me, good luck getting those hoses disconnected. They SUCK!
Thanks for the reply, mine is a 98 and looking at the inline hose and outlet hose, I will just cut them off and run the hose that instead go the the heater core to directly where the outlet hose is connected. My concern is the thermostat of the air-conditioning which somehow something to do with heat from the heater core. Are they connected?
Are you talking about the temperature sensor for the inside of your Expy? I'm assuming you have a digital readout and you can set your A/C on auto to a certain temp like 70? If so, the temperature sensor is in the dash and won't be affected at all by what you are doing.
Also, you want to take both hoses that are connected to the heater core, and connect them to eachother. However you can do it, is up to you.
