oil pressure question
i put an auto-meter oil pressure gauge on the truck this weeekend. i installed the sender in place of the original ford sender, on the oil filter adapter.
after starting the truck i got a reading of 50psi, which eventually settled down to about 35-40 psi after getting it out on the highway.
is this good? i always thought the engine was old and tired- didn't expect to see such a high reading.
