Fuel pressure gauge reads 100psi

My 1 year old gloshift fuel pressure gauge , which until recently read about 65psi(60psi at WOT), jumps to100psi after a few seconds at 65. When the truck is first started, the gauge, from day one would quickly jump from 0 to 110psi before returning to about 65psi. The truck runs great. I ordered a new gauge and sender hoping this could be the problem. Anyone experience very high fuel pressure at the gauge and if so what might cause this? I bought the updated spring kit awhile ago but never got around to installing it because my fuel pressure appeared to be good.

Did you change the sender and gauge or just order them? Never had any issues with my ISSPRO gauges, but you get what you pay for.

Check.

Put a mechanical guage on it soon. 110 psi is bad for your wallet.

I would install the updated spring...it is a factory preset and you could use the extra 5 psi it will give you @ idle....it should bump you up to 70 and put your mind at ease until you can get the new gauge

I wouldn't knock glow gauges.......yes you do get what you pay for but as everyone knows, mechanical things do become defective from time to time.....even Ferraris and Lamborghinis come with defects.

I love mine and do not regret the purchase....4 gauges that LOOK expensive.....have the ability to choose between 7 different colors at the push of a button and accurate....or 1 gauge for the price of 4 glow gauges with a brand name that IS expensive and works equally as good...I'll take my chances.

So far I have been very happy

More like a 2 to 1 price ratio, not 4 to 1.

I have had a Glow Gauge on fuel pressure for over a year and no problems at all, just because there priced reasonable doesn't mean there cheap. Pay more if you want to but not needed as I see it in this case.

Another reason I went ISSPRO is because they matched the oem gauges perfectly, I'll pay a little more for that.

Did you swap the sender or the gauge?

The sensor is large and cumbersome....this is why I relocated it with a line from ITP diesel now known as strictly diesel. I like it away from the engine heat and vibration. So far so good for me.

I tried the sender first but it was actually the gauge.

I'm glad I found this post, mine is doing the exact same thing as the OP. I have had for a little over a year but it sounds like GlowShift is going to RMA the sender at least.

My glowshift fuel pressure gauge started messing up bad after about 4 months. Not 100 psi but a different reading every time I started the truck. I emailed customer service and they sent me a new sending unit. Before I could even put it in, the gauge started working like normal again and has ever since, so now I have a spare. They aren't the best quality but its their customer service that's keeping me around for now.
