Sorry about that, I get an average of 8.2 pulling at 70. I pulled my Airstream over 7,000 miles from Idaho to Tallahassee then back through Arizona and Utah with a side trip to California. Still averaged 8.2-8.5 on most tanks. I kept a diary of all gas prices, station/gas and mileage from tank to tank. I am using the 5-Star with the 89 Tow, but on the long trip I had a Diablosport Predator on the 91 performance mode. I like the shifting/tow/haul on Mike's much better.

'99 F-350 SD crew cab shortbed with Snugtop.
6-8" lift and 37/12.50-17 MTRs
5:13 gears, auto, 4x4
Stock other than a Flowmaster with a short outlet dumping about 2' before the axle.
87 octane E-10 California gas.

Flat towing a Jeep Cherokee on 28" bias ply mud tires (just over 3000lb) and hauling about 500-700 lbs of stuff and driving fairly gently. Mostly flat, but a couple up/down hills, and ending about 400' lower altitude than the start. Just over 10MPG on a 150 mile highway run with little traffic.

Towing a 28' cabin cruiser that's 9' wide, 13'2" tall, and guestimated at 12k with trailer. Short run, driving gently, couple very mild hills, about 5MPG with some sporadic heavy traffic.

2005 F350 4x2 crew cab dually, 3.73, fifth wheel 32.5 feet, ~12000 lb.

Upper Michigan to Texas (1800 miles) in December 2017 8 mpg ave, min of 4.5, max of 10 mpg, 62 mph.
Return in March 2017 7.5 mpg ave, min 6.9 mpg, max 8.6 mpg, cruise at 68-72 mph.

The truck has about 151k, with fresh plugs before the trip.

This thing loves gas, but it only cost $4500 last summer.

No oil added between changes.
