Mine was a daily driver, but it's going up on jack stands this fall so I can upgrade to disc brakes and repair some of the damage caused by Iowa's nasty calcium chloride habit they have in the winter.
I didn't mean to get mine as a daily driver (My other rig is a 1967 Mercury Comet 202 recently restored). But it was too nice to pass up; so now it is my driver.
At 9.8mpg it's not an economical form of transportation; but it's AWESOME! 390/4 speed with 44,000 miles on it so it drives almost like new (The clutch linkage where it mounts to the block is worn/cracked old) and the drivers side tail light isn't working right (think it's the blinker switch) but it's great to drive and I receive a ton of compliments.
Right on to all that KNOW driving the classics is where the joy of owning is.
