You know, i kind of think that that says a lot for these ol' trucks, how many other vehicals are there around that are mecahnically sound enough to be daily drivers 22+ years after they are built. It backs up the old phrase Built Ford Tough
'79 F-150, 240K showing with only just over 12K on the transplanted 460, this is the prefered vehical if it's to cold or wet for the bike. Have an '83 Ranger with a 4 banger that I really should drive more, it only gets two and a half times the gas mileage!
My '79 F-150 4x4 351M Auto is my daily driver. It also serves as my work truck (loaded down with ladders and tools), and plows snow every winter. I've owned it since '83. Like Dzjammer, I restored mine about 4 years ago, but it's about due for a little TLC.
The '59 F-250 4x4 only goes out when it's nice.
i drive my 79 f-250 thats listed in my signature every day, whether im going to school and work, or goin on a date, gets a solid 10/11 mpg and i love it, the women love it too, i guess the boggers turn them on, i know it aint the faded green paint and the rusty fenderwells, or the spray in bedliner in my cab, im getting ready to sell my 85 f-150 and put all my savings into a new f-250 6 spd diesel, reg cab long bed, then that will be my daily driver, but ill still hang on to my green 79 for playin around
I've had some kind of F100 as a daily driver sinc 1974.
When I bought the '70 F100 I now have, I replaced the 6cyl/three-spped with a 429/C6. Three days after I finished the swap, I hooked up my 20' flat-bed trailer, loaded up my daughter's furniture and moved her to Memphis, Tenn. (from southern New Mexico). My son and I took turns driving straight thru, unloaded, slept for 4 hours and drove straight back. The truck loved 80 mph. The only problem I had was the loss of the rear brakes (exhaust system installer got too close to the flex line at the rear). No problem, I still had front brakes on the truck and electrics on the trailer.
I've always trusted my F100's to get me where I wanted to go. And I've never been let down. I love them, and I'll be driving one with a smile on my face when I pass on, unless our "protect the people 'cause they can't protect themselves" politicians (be sure you get rich while doing it) legislate my truck off the road.
I have hauled pallets of cinder blocks, full-size 4x4 Cheties, F350 van, anything and everything (on the truck and trailer).
It is in need of restoration. But until I get the '59 F100 looking the way I want it, my '70 will keep on rolling (except tonight; I'm rebuilding the 4-bbl).
daily driver in the summer. to much road salt and really have no where to park it in winter since the street has a parking band and the garage is a single and it's too small. in the summer i can't stop driving it around!
My '74 Highboy is my daily driver. I hope to have another vehicle to drive for next winter though. My 74 is a rust free California truck, and I really hate to subject it to even one Ohio winter (they use a lot of salt here!)
1966 F100, SWB, C6, 390CI, PS, PDB, AC. Commute 60 miles round trip in Atlanta traffic everyday. And use it for hauling anything that needs hauling. Planning on a windshield tour of the USA in the summer. This truck has nearly a quarter million miles on it. Driving it makes me happy!

My 78 F150 is a daily driver......when she's running. I've had her since August and the previous owner didn't drive her much so now I'm finding a bunch of little gremlins. My patience is wearing thin, but she's paid off and I hope I can get a few months use out of her before any more problems pop up. Please tell me it gets better.....
My '78 F250 4x4 is a daily driver. I drive it daily 50 miles roundtrip and love it. I see a lot of these trucks on the freeways here in the Northwest.
I am just finishing swapping in a 460 in place of the 400. All I have left to do is install the 4-core HD radiator. I should have it done and to the exhaust shop by Monday.
Can't drive mine everyday. I've got to many of them! I drive'em when there work. I drive'em when there's time. I drive'em when I can. I think I'll buy some more, I don't think the neighbors will mind. 4x4 is next. Saw a red one down the road, looks good, and I'll look great driving it!
Good Luck, Have Fun,

My work truck the C**vy I guess would be classified as my daily driver. But whenever I'm off its the ole ford that gets driven. Most of its trips are long distance running up to see family in TN. I manage to do all my errands while working so I use my work truck wo I don't pay for gas that way.
