The engine on my 2001 F350 diesel truck started cutting out when my intermittant wipers were on. When the wipers are on and the truck is idling, the engine dies. Also it sometimes dies or stumbles now when I'm driving at highway speeds and not using the wipers. Anyone else with similar problems or ideas for fixing it? I have already replaced windshield wiper motor and the complete wiper control unit on the column and there is no change.

I have a simular problem. Everytime it rains my F350 cuts out while driving it's getting worse every time it rains. I had my engine cut out today when it was 92 degrees out. I don't know what to do? Do you?
With what you've described so far, it sounds like your CPS (Cam Position Sensor)
It's about a 10 - 20 Min (or 2 beer) fix, with a 10mm bolt.
Here is just one of our sponsors that has a replacement:

I actually posted this message to a different section and they re-routed it here where I have another thread going just above. I was told to check the CPS (Cam Position Sensor). I have been reading other postings about the CPS and they sound so similar to my problem that I have ordered one tonight.
If you get a wild hair, you might check on ebay too. One guy here got two for the price of one, though I think both were stock replacements. It's always good to keep a spare CPS in your glove box along with a 10mm socket. It doesn't seem to matter how long you've had them, sooner or later, they will fail. Mine went out at 68K miles.
