hey i was wondering if my 69 bronco would tow my 72bronco mud bogger on a trailer, the trailer has 4wheel brakes and a sway bar and weight leverers , and i have disk brakes on the frount of my 69 and i know it has all the power i would need. how bad would it sag in the rear?
That wouldn't be a very good idea. You have enough power to get it moving but stopping and handling will be a problem. Between the short wheelbase of the Bronco and the combined weight of your mud Bronco and trailer, you would be asking for trouble. The trailer is going to have a tendency to want to steer the pull vehicle. At minimum, it will cause a little bit of sway. Or in the ditch or oncoming traffic at worst.
What does your mud Bronco weigh? You might be better suited to find a full size pickup to tow with.
not only is that very dangerous it is illegal! that bronco was never built to haul that kind of weight and the DOT will have a field day with a situation like that. yes yes i know... 'well the van full of mexicans who just went by is towing a skid loader'.... let them get caught and/or potentially cause a serious fatal accident.
i wanted to be as safe as possible so i went and found me a tow ****... 96 F350 that i can haul up to about 20K lbs with and still be within my limits here in GA!
ya my dad pulls it to the bogs with his 2000 ford f350, for me now cus im only 15 but perdy soon i'll be 16 and im gone need to pull my bronco places and i was hopeing it would tow it, but im workin on a 1972 f250 right now so maby i'll find a good body for it so i could use it
around 3400 lb. i towed 3 atv's on a tandom axel trailer. the quads weighed 1800 lb plus the trailer. that was about my limit, it was hard to keep control of at 65 mph.
