Front End Shaking

Ive searched this topic and didn't find exactly what I wanted....I have an '01 F-250 SC 2WD V10 with 73,000 miles....at around 70 MPH the front end starts to shake a lil...it increases until I pass 75 MPH and tapers off....the steering wheel DOES NOT shake with the front end...this is what ive replaced so far on the front end:

New Shocks- Bilstiens
New Stablizer Bushings
New End Links
New Driverside Upper & Lower Ball Joints (Mechanic said otherside was good)
Had mechanic check tie rods...all good
Had truck aligned also

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Ok, does it always shake - or is it only after the truck has been sitting for a while?

The 70-70mph window is right where I would expect to see out of balance wheels and/or a flat spotted tyre.

It always shakes at that speed....I also forgot to mention that having the bed full with a load or pulling my trailer (approx. 3,000 lbs) its more noticable at the higher speeds....it doesnt do it under 70 mph though.

If thats the case - it will be your driveshaft angles.
I know it seems wierd - but the vibration can be felt through the front of the vehicle.

You need to shim down your centre bearing....

This sounds to me like a tire out of round or ballance issue on some sort of rotating part of your truck. We had this same issue on a semi and we ended up goin through all of the things that you are describing before we found that it was a balance issue.

Same symptoms you describe also, it only did it at a cirtian speed and you could drive out of it by going faster. This truck did it at around 40 mph the worst.

To do this they jacked up the entire front of the truck and used a machiene that had a high speed motor with a wheel on it that turned the whole wheel while it was still on the truck. It had some sort of sensor and what resembled a timing light to show where to add weight. They said they prefered to do it this way because they could balance the brake drum and wheel and tire all at the same time. They used regualar wheel weights to counter the imbalance.

Just a thought im not sure if this could be your problem but....

Actually - re-thinking this...
If it happens worse WITH a load on it, you need to do the opposite. (as in, remove shims from it)

Is your truck lifted in anyway?

the truck is all factory as far as height and tire sizes.....but like swampo said I could drive out of it by going faster...the front tires were on the truck when i bought it....some off the wall brand name....i put Cooper Discoverer STT 265/75 R16 on the back in January....maybe the front tires are out of balance or just a cheap tire the dealer put on there before they sold it.

Try swapping the front and rear tires (tire rotation) and see what happens.
