My truck is giving me a bunch of lights and warnings when i fire it up, then they disapear...is there anyway to reset the trucks computer or access the thing to see whats going on.....that and the self test...does anyone have the slightest clue what all those codes are after the tach....and by the way does the computer track certain things like hours and miles, aside from the odometer....very confusing....but interesting...thanks
disconnect your battery for 1 hour and turn your light switch on(to the right) that should reset everything.let us know.

the codes thet you are reading are from the instrument cluster only, and most of them are not trouble codes, but just seriel # and build date codes and stuff like that.
the light on the dash are supposed to come on when you start the truck, it is the computer testing them, it's called a prove out. also yes the mileage is stored on the pcm, and cannot be deleted by disconnection the battery or any othe way.
