mirror on the driver side got annihilated this weekend and im goin to dealership to pick up a new one here shortly (power, heated, w/ turn signal).......havent researched or looked how to replace it or what else i might need to pick up to swap them out! any help would be great. thanks in advance
If you are replacing exactly what you have now, it's not a big deal. I put power mirrors on my STX (didn't hook up the power, just wanted the foldable mirrors) and had them replaced in 20 minutes. Small 1/4" drive mini socket wrench, extension, (forget the socket size, sorry!) and something to hold the trim away fromt he door to free up your other hand- I used a hammer handle wedged in there. I didn't even pull the panel off. Pull the top of the trim panel away right behind the mirror, pull the plastic tape covering the holes, and the bolts are right there. No biggie at all.
***Note- There is a finger clamp on the top edge that really should be pulled down and away from the door, but it popped out for me on both sides and did not break. Just be careful, I guess, unless you want to pull the panel off to be safe.
