Replacing side mirrors
Just picked up a used 2006 super duty that had the smaller oval shaped mirrors. I tow a travel trailer so I ordered and installed the larger Ford towing mirrors with the lights and heaters. There are a couple of YouTube videos that show how to do it. It ends up only being about a 20 minute job per mirror. Fortunately, Ford includes all of the required wiring with the wiring harness in the door even though it's not required for the smaller mirrors. I was happy that I plugged in the new mirror and everything worked.

Nice. I got mine with the little paddle mirrors. I got the power tow mirrors from the dealer. I had to make and install my own harness. I got the piece for the door with the correct switches from "fleabay" for a reasonable price.

What year was yours? I'm surprised that it didn't have the correct harness.
