I have MBRP turbo back. Stock intake. 6" Donahoe lift. 35x12.50-18 Toyo muds. Last weekend I hit a aprox. 220 uphill with my foot in it. I did not loose any coolant out of the de-gas bottle(this was a problem when I had my Predator tuner). Once on the flat, it cools down to 195-200, but as soon as I get into it or hit a grade it goes right back up.
Mine hovers at about half way, but when pulling 6,000 lbs up a steep hill with my tripple dog the gauge shoots to about 3/4. Then I chicken out and either switch to stock or back out of it. I was trying to see if yours did it too.
No, mine is the factory gauge but it is worthless. It has risen in the past just in time to have the fan kick on. With my Autometer, i know now that the fan will kick on @ 220. I strongly believe that 4 aftermarket guages ar necessary if you do any kind of towing : Transmission temp, EGT (pre turbo), Boost and Coolant temp.
