Coolant temp gauge

Has anybody installed a coolnat temp gauge and if so where.

The Sending Unit For Autometer Gauges Replaces The Block Drain Plug At He Rear Drivers Side Of The Motor, Be Sure To Get The Right Threaded Adaptor For The Sending Unit , I Believe It Is Metric Threads , Autometer Can Give You The Right Part #'s Ordered Mine Today Should Be Here In A Few Days I'll Let You Know

went great except for a little colant bath but the adaptor works fine and takes only a minute or 2 to change out

Here comes all the question, seeing that you are apparently the only one to add a water temp guage to a 6.0 on the planet.

What type of gauge-mechanical or electrical?

Where did you get the adapter? Autometer? P/N if possible.

Can you describe where the waterjacket is that you tapped into? Pics if possible.

I really want to get this done before I tow anymore this summer.

running autometer phantom 2 awesome gauges electric you remove the block drain plug at the drivers side rear of the motor just below the freeze plugs and above the exaust manifold it takes a 6mm hex wrench i believe from summit racing part # atm2268 metric adaptor i would look into the phantom 2 gauges awesome wireing and match the stock gauges very well i put in ool pressure water temp trans temp and egt i hope that this helps

by the way the autometer part # is 7557 it is 16x1.5 mm

That helps ALOT! I have the Phantoms under dash but I think I want to run the 2 on the column. If I like it alot I will switch them all out for the 2's. Found all the parts on Summit.

you are welcome but get ready for an eyeopener these dang 6.0's run hot mine hit 230 pulling the grapevine with one horse in a 4 horse trailer

too bad dipricol does have a coolant temp gauge so I could have all the gauges match. I guess I will have to get the closest autometer.

That's why I want one. 7000 lb. boat in the 110* Arizona heat! It will probably scare the shiz out of me.

yes it will it did me couldn't believe hot they run the fan did not come on until 220 deg good luck in putting the gauges in it is simple but if you run into any problems just let me know i will help if i can
