Well if you haven't swapped in a bigger rear than the stock 7.5" rear then you're in trouble running 35"s for very long, you'll snap the axle if you're not carefull. Same way with your front end, I believe you have a Dana 28 or something like that which isn't very strong. If you were to get a donor vehicle (Explorer) you could swap in a D35 front and 8.8" rear I believe just from that one truck.

As far as lift companies I'd go with James Duff or Superlift. I installed a Rough Country, and it's OK, but not that great, some of the holes didn't bolt right up so I had to make my own, but it was fun making it all!

imo, 33s are way to large for the stock running gear.

A perfect combination is a James Duff (www.jamesduff.com) suspension lift and
31x12.50x15 tires. Once you break the Dana 28 or 7.5 rear you can alway swap to the Explorer axles.

You wouldn't be as likely to snap with 33's as you would with 35's but either/or you're still talking about a chunk of rubber as rotating weight.

Does Duff make larger lifts than 3"? I haven't looked into them that much.

Skyjacker makes a great lift also. Kinda pricey tho - I don't have one because I'm way too cheap!

If I was gonna buy a lift it would be either Duff or SJ.

I'd go with a 3-4" suspension lift and a 2" body. That's a good combo that won't totaly kill your wallet. If you are going 35" then I too would get rid of that D28 in the front and I'd start looking for an 8.8 for the rear.

I got a 86 Bronco II with 4inch suspension and 3 inch body lift and run 35x12.50x15 BFG MT/s and been offroading with it every/every other weekend for 3 years now with no problems. I don't blaze thru mud holes..all i do is general trail riding and easier rock crawling with it.
