I have a 2005 Lariat Screw with reverse sensors, when I was pulling into my parking space at work the beeping sound started to sound distorted an a few seconds later the reverse sensors automatically turned off. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? I have tried various things to try to get them to come back on with no success.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
I had a problem with false beeping for awhile but it is gone now. One of the backup sensors in the rear bumper was loose and I was hoping I could tighten the sensor - not the case. The sensors clip on. With one hand on the sensor, I pressed the wiring harness into the sensor. I did this for all four sensors.
If that doesn't help, you probably have a blown fuse.
I had a similar issue and my back up lights did not work on my '04
Long story short......there is a relay built into the fuse panel that controls the sensors and light. The fuse panel had to be changed out since the relay is non-serviceable.
