Please dont take offense to this, Red, but I think california is in a boat of its own, haha 
......Its seems as if every single can or container you look at is "Known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm." My dad is a truck driver, and was in california this winter, and they pulled him over for his exhaust being too short. It didnt make any sense to me, but "if they are under 11 feet tall, they have to point straight up, or straight back, because going straight out the side, they are blowing exhaust in school buses. Now it might be true, but we dont have all them fancy rules 'round where i come from, and i dont think we're all THAT messed up....haha, guess in 30 years i could be lookin back n going "them californians were really ahead of the game back then...." 
As for the original question, im definitely one for a hotrod.....however, i dont go to EXTREMES, just a mild case.......but restored ones are always cool too....like the phrase goes, "there wouldnt be sunny days if it wasnt for rain," well without the restored ones, there wouldnt be hotrods....

Jag, one of the reasons I left CA was due to all the insane rules out there. For instance, they started sending out police to ticket me for using my fireplace. There isn't enough money for other resources, but they will ticket me for heating my home. I also recall not having enough electricity one summer when it was 117 degrees outside.
I love the state's natural beauty, but I couldn't live there any longer.
My goal is to finish my truck in it's natural stock beauty and take a road trip in it back to it's original home, Hanford CA.

Howabout a Resto Hot Rod? Mine is pretty stock-suspension, body ect, Have a 351 W in it but going with the look of a mild 50's Custom, not to damatic just a cool era Looking Hot Rod.
